The Right Ratios

Life consists of the things we do and the ability to wait for our actions to bear fruit.

Sometimes the actions take the forefront of our lives and sometimes all we can do is wait. Always, we are faced with determining what to do and when to wait. If we learn the right ratio, we can be successful or fruitful. The farmer does his work with care and perseverance and then waits for the growth that comes from the rain (James:5:7Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.). Sometimes it may seem like there is only work, but when the seed is in place, the seed and the farmer wait for the rain. Life gives us the balance between action and patient endurance.
In all we do, action and work precedes the fruits. In all we do, we also come to the time where we simply wait. The ratio between action and endurance may vary, but in that lies the probability of a good result. Paul noted the capstone of life when he wrote, "Eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good, seek for glory, honor and immortality" (Romans:2:7To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:).
